💾 What data is stored by Dokin?
At Dokin, we prioritize your data privacy and security. We understand the importance of safeguarding your information and strive to store the minimum amount of data necessary to provide our services effectively. Here's an overview of the data we store:
🧑 Personal Information
We only collect and store the limited personal information required to identify you as a user. This includes:
Email address: We store your email address to associate it with your Dokin account.
Basic profile information: We may retrieve and store your first name, last name, profile picture, and ID from your Google profile. This information helps personalize your Dokin experience.
📁 Google Files data
We never store the content of your files.We only store limited information and identifiers to let you connect data. This includes:
Google File ID : This is the unique identifier of your Google file, allowing us to access the appropriate data.
Sheet and named ranges IDs: When you connect a Google Sheets sheet or range to another Google File, we need to store the Sheet ID. Also when you connect data in Google Sheets, we store the sheet id where we send the data so that we can refresh it in the right sheet.
🔗 Connection data
When you connect a new data source to a Google file, we only store the necessary details to connect and refresh those data. However, we never store the records of your data.
Basic auth information: We encrypt and securely store OAuth tokens and API keys in our database.
Query information: This includes the names and IDs of the tables connected, the selected fields, and applied filters for running queries when needed.
⏰ How long is your data stored?
Your Personal Data will be archived after the following retention periods:
5 years after your last use of our Platform, if you did not close your account
or 1 month after the closing of your account.
However, the financial data (e.g. payments, reimbursements, etc.) is stored for the duration required by applicable tax and accounting laws (for example, the accounting documents are stored for up to 10 years). Also, we may archive some of your Personal Data for a period that will not exceed five years in order to comply with our legal obligations and to manage potential disputes.
❌ How to request data deletion?
At Dokin, we prioritize the privacy and security of your personal information. We recognize the importance of your rights, including the GDPR Right to be Forgotten (Right to Erasure). If you would like to have your data removed from our systems or if you no longer wish to use Dokin, we are here to help.
To initiate the process of deleting your data after closing your Dokin account, please reach out to us via email at privacy@dokin.co. Our dedicated team will promptly address your request and ensure that all your data is completely removed from our systems.
Deleting your data will result in the interruption of Dokin's functionality. If you decide to use Dokin again in the future, you will need to sign up again. Please be aware that deleted data cannot be recovered.
